The Generation 7Â - A2 Pygmy 13 Note Handpan
The Generation 7 is a series of hand-tuned handpans built from stainless steel or ember steel, designed for deep sustain and a warm, resonant tone, and made for meditation, sound healing, and immersive practice. This series is crafted for exceptionally long sustain, helping release stress with every note. It's a handpan you sit with quietly, not just perform on. Available tuned to either 432Hz or 440Hz, so you can choose the frequency that suits your practice.
A2 Pygmy 13 Note: a scale built to soothe
The Pygmy scale is treasured for its soft, minor-key warmth, deeply calming and meditative, with an emotional depth that rewards both first-time players and experienced practitioners. It's an especially popular choice among sound healers for its grounding, introspective character, making the A2 Pygmy 13 Note a natural fit for slow, reflective play.
Why a NovaPans Generation 7
NovaPans has spent 8 years perfecting the art of hand-tuned handpans. Every Generation 7 is shaped, tuned, and refined by hand by our experienced handpan building team, using a process built on years of refinement to get each note exactly right.
Hand tuning is a slow craft. Each note is shaped, tested, and adjusted individually, often over many passes, until the tone, sustain, and resonance all sit in balance with each other. It's this hands-on attention, not a factory shortcut, that gives NovaPans its depth and its ability to hold a note with warmth rather than harshness. We take our time refining each handpan, treating a perfect sound as our highest priority and our greatest pride.
That craftsmanship is backed by consistency. Every instrument goes through quality checks against our sound benchmarks before it ships, so the deep, resonant tone you hear in our demo videos is what you'll actually hold in your hands.

About NovaPans Handpans
About NovaPans Handpans
All of NovaPans Handpans are hand-tuned and built in China and quality-checked by professionals from Europe and the USA.
The combination of handpan production expertise where quality mass production is a reality allows NovaPans to not only create high-quality handpans, but to make them in quantity. Despite the widespread misinformation that you must spend thousands or wait months/years in order to even touch a quality handpan, this is just not true.
NovaPans has sold well over 3000 handpans since 2016 and received the highest reviews on all platforms to reflect this. NovaPans continues to break the boundaries of how much we need to spend in order to get a quality musical instrument, or dare we say, a quality musical instrument we can at least get started on!
We continue to prioritize our customers' financial, personalization, and range of selection needs first before anything else.Â

When can I get my order?
For Standard Shipping, where we will ship you one of our in-stock models, expect to receive your handpan approximately 1-2 weeks after placing your order.
For Pre-Orders, where we will custom build your handpan for you, it can take from 3-4 weeks for our 9 and 10 note models and 4-5 weeks for our 13 note models to build and deliver.
Please note that in some cases we may need additional time when building your handpan as we strive to ensure it is built and tuned to the highest quality standards.
How do I maintain my handpan?
How do I maintain my handpan?
It’s a good idea to occasionally clean your handpan with a microfibre cloth, ideally after each use.
It's also important to regularly apply oil to your handpan, particularly for Nitrided Steel models, to prevent rust. We recommend Phoenix oil, but there are other options if you don't have it. Remember, a little oil goes a long way!
Store your handpan in a cool, dry place since moisture can damage metal. Ideally, keep it in its case for added protection.

☆ Every handpan may display signs of tuning marks to some extent which is a natural production trait considering that all of our handpans are hand-tuned. These are not scratches but in fact, very subtle indents and practically non-visible unless scrutinized.
☆ It is not uncommon to use an electronic tuner and notice a slight microtonal offset for any of your handpan notes. This is actually the case with all handpans and is not a reflection of quality in any way. No handpan which doesn't sound proportionally in tune within a 5-10 cents tuning threshold (which is noticeable by the human ear) does not pass our quality check and is returned for retuning.
